Here we go: Minnesota's first co-op brewery is opening in Northeast Minneapolis.

Fair State Brewing owners have signed a lease at 2506 Central Avenue N.E. in a building owned by the Northeast Investment Cooperative. The brewery will share the building with Aki's BreadHaus, a German-style bread bakery.

The brewery will total about 2,500 square feet, with a little over half devoted to a taproom, Sallee said. Sallee said Fair State is targeting a May 1 opening.
